I draw the letter “A.” Over 11,000 of them! In 30 years of drawing an A a day, I haven’t repeated a single one. I draw the letter A to self-define. And to visually record how I feel or fit myself into the world. I draw the letter A as a meditation on identity, an attempt to shape my ever-changing self into a tangible form. Drawing my Daily A is the practice of being in tune with my senses and making sense of my surroundings. How else do people do it?!?
